More information:
The Home Upgrade Grant scheme phase 2 (HUG2) is funded by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. Full details and FAQs can be found on the SDC website: Energy Efficiency Grants | Stratford-on-Avon District Council.
The deadline for applications is 30th September
Don’t miss out on grant funding for insulation or other energy efficiency measures! Check your eligibility here: www.gov.uk/apply-home-upgrade-grant or call Act on Energy on 0800 988 2881
and see the poster in the downloadable notices area of the website
HUG2 eligibility requirements:
· Property must NOT have gas central heating (known as ‘off-gas’)
· Property must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of D, E, F or G
· Household must have a combined annual income under £31,000 (gross)
Applications for HUG2 are handled on behalf of Stratford District Council by Act on Energy. Installation of energy efficiency measures will be delivered by E.ON.
When talking to residents we do need to bear in mind the strict eligibility criteria of the scheme and try to avoid raising any false hopes. Residents may also need to be reassured that this scheme, Act on Energy, and E.ON are endorsed by SDC and not a scam.
Other funding:
There are a number of other funding schemes currently active, and we encourage residents to call Act on Energy (freephone 0800 988 2881) to identify whether any grants are available for them and talk about ways to improve energy efficiency in their homes.
They can also visit the SDC website to see what funding is currently available: Energy & Warmth | Stratford-on-Avon District Council.
